Every publication has a position. The standard is not neutrality, but declared standpoint and responsibility for the consequences of that standpoint. Unbias, for instance, is a position. Yet, to claim responsiblity for an unbiased stance requires an internal (and often external) process of documentation.

Adaptor House publishes from the premise that perspective is not a defect. A work becomes publishable when its position, sources, transformations, and claims are made accountable enough for another reader to inspect, challenge, cite, or inherit.
AMOS is constitutional before it is stylistic: it governs how knowledge is transmitted across people, languages, media, and human-machine systems.
This standard draws from the archived July 2026 house standards, Adaptor House paper practice, and the witness source Toward a Constitutional Ontology: Pearl-Hofstadter, Becker-Beckett, and the Dickinson-Gilbert Axes.
Standards
Claims, editions, translations, examples, and inherited materials should remain traceable to their sources, even when full citation apparatus is withheld from public display.
Evidence, inference, interpretation, doctrine, witness, editorial decision, and formal claim must remain distinguishable.
Formal claims should expose the conditions under which they can fail. Adaptor House favors work that can show not only what it asserts, but how it arrived there.
Translation, modernization, adaptation, annotation, and machine processing are transformations. They may be necessary, but they are not identity.
Working transcripts, provenance records, and design notebooks may function as witness sources when they document how a distinction, claim, or standard emerged.
Artificial intelligence is an editorial and analytic instrument. Material AI contribution should be disclosed; responsibility remains with the named human author or editor.
A valid representation need not be exhaustive. Publications should preserve what remains uncertain, unavailable, situated, or intentionally outside the claim.
Readable typography, stable file paths, public formats, and preservation-minded page structure are part of editorial accountability.
