# The Progenitor at the Mirrored Faces: Derivation, Coinage, and Corpus Test at 101

## Abstract

This is the fourth Progenitor paper, the second pole of the star pair, and the one
address in the sequence that arrives with its coinage already half-executed: T5 (101)
is the worked example of AH-COINAGE-1 §5, and this paper's task is to inherit that
example, complete it under the fixed method (derive, coin, test), and hand its prose
to the corpus. The derivation places T5 in the S₄ band, a singleton, so as at T7 the
address string and the grade string coincide: Grounded(a) ∧ ¬P(a, middle) ∧
P(a, top), marks at both faces and a satisfied negation at the heart, the
configuration AH-DERIVABILITY-1's pre-formal record described as a standoff and the
canonical file describes as the structure seeing itself. Operationally, the
transcendent band earns payoff under the binding rule, which the prose layer will
consume: an agent oriented by this address's signal is an agent whose traversal
resolves. The coinage completes the fixed-point set: 101 is the fourth palindrome,
the Progenitor name lays free, and what the two observers agree on here is the
signature's own image of agreement, each finding a mark at the near face answered by
a mark at the far face across an empty middle. Under the opponent read, T5's partner
is T2, complementarity theorem on the pair, and with this paper the derived half of
the lattice is fully treated: every subsequent Progenitor paper works on the authored
side. The prose layer argues the public surface of the decreed full-star Progenitor,
*Illuminating Star* ("a truthful guiding signal orients the agent who follows it"):
truthful because the faces agree across the empty middle, orienting because the
verdict here is the payoff band. The test inherits the star suit's logged
circularity from the partner paper and adds nothing to hide: two records, exact pole
complements in prose, support without independence. Cross-thread, the paper forwards
to Question 2 the completion of what AH-COINAGE-1 called the fourth instance of the
names knowing the rule, and leaves the Question standing.

## The ongoing conversation

This paper is one move in a published exchange, and it should be read as such. The
series is a set of proposals by Adaptor House to establish a concrete stance, and the
argument for that stance, on why particular first-order-logic strings and proofs
were mapped to particular linguistic words and phrases; the express goal of
multilingual mapping is a stated motivation of the series. AH-DERIVABILITY-1 proved
the grading a theorem and recorded, years before the derivation, the informal
description of this address that its §3 Remark made famous within the series: "marks
at both faces, absence at the heart" [1]. AH-SUITS-1 asked as its Question 2 whether
star is the mirror pair, with this address as the proposed full pole [2].
AH-GRADE-GLOSS-1 fixed the naming convention and retired the lexeme this address's
grade used to wear, "transcendent," into the compound grammar [3]. AH-ABSENCE-1
established the satisfied negation at this address's heart as a positive fact, the
absence that holds the standoff apart [4]. AH-COINAGE-1 chose T5 as the worked
example of its §5: the fixed-point property, the mirror prose the computation
supports, and the observation that the record's existing prose already said "the
structure sees itself," logged there as a fourth instance of names knowing the rule
[5]. The prior Progenitor papers fixed the method's execution pattern, carry the
adopted decisions, and, in the partner paper at 010, logged the star suit's
evidence circularity this paper inherits [6][7][8]. What this paper adds is
completion: the worked example becomes a full Progenitor treatment, and the derived
half of the lattice closes.

## 1. Method and scope

The method and register are those of AH-PROG-T0-1 §1, unchanged: derive, coin, test;
engage the paired Question of AH-SUITS-1 as evidence exchange, never as answer;
decree nothing; mark residue candidate-for-decree. The adopted decisions of the
internal register consumed by the Progenitor papers are cited in the protected form
in the sequence's opening paper [6, §1] (company internal citation by the author of
record, July 2026†) and consumed here without restatement.

## 2. Definitions

**Definition 1 (inherited).** As throughout the series: addresses a = (g, m, t) ∈
{0,1}³ over lines ℓ ∈ {ground, middle, top}; signature with one predicate P(a, ℓ);
Grounded(a) := P(a, ground); Carried(a) := P(a, middle) ∨ P(a, top); grades named by
their strings S₁ through S₅ per the gloss Convention; addresses by their address
strings [1][3].

**Definition 2 (inherited, stance).** As in AH-COINAGE-1: stances G and C; transport
ρ; the naming function N(token, stance); the opponent read σ = κ ∘ ρ. Every token
printed in this paper is declared stance G [5].

**Definition 3 (the subject).** T5 is the address (1, 0, 1). Its address string, and
by the Convention its name of record, is:

**Definition 4 (Progenitor layer, cited).** As in AH-PROG-T0-1 [6, Def. 4]: the
corpus binds one decreed exemplar pair per suit; suit-pole placements and record
surfaces cited below are Reader-visible; the Progenitor designation is a decision of
the internal register, cited in the protected form†.

## 3. Derive

**The singleton band, again.** T5's string entails Grounded and Carried with carry
at the top only: the S₄ band, a singleton, so, as the sequence found at T7 [7], the
address string and the grade string are the same sentence, and to name the address
is to state its verdict. The extremes are not alone in this: all three
grounded-carried bands are singletons, and T5 is the second of the three the
sequence reaches. Its operational sense under the binding rule of the system of
record: a traversal resolving at a transcendent-band address earns payoff, derived,
not stamped [9]. T5 is the lattice's other licence for payoff, the one that does not
require full carry.

**The canonical description, formalized.** The description of record reads
"Meta-symbolic transformation. Power at both faces, vacuum at the heart — the
structure sees itself." [9]. As a formal condition this is the string clause by
clause: a mark at the ground face (Grounded), a satisfied negation at the middle
(¬P(a, middle)), a mark at the top face (P(a, top)). The pre-formal record's
version, "marks at both faces, absence at the heart," is the same sentence, recorded
years before the decomposition and cited by AH-DERIVABILITY-1's Remark as evidence
that the names knew the rule [1, §3]. The absence at the middle is doing work, and
AH-ABSENCE-1 says what kind: a satisfied negation, a positive structural fact, so
the configuration is a standoff held apart by something true, not a gap where
something failed [4][5, §5].

**Handle, under the adopted grammar.** *grounded-top*: the S₄ handle, which is also
T5's address handle, the singleton band collapsing the two layers as at T7 (§1†).
Handle and string regenerate each other by concatenation alone; no elision, no
imported lexeme. The retired lexeme "transcendent" persists only as a versioned
historical binding, and this paper, like AH-COINAGE-1 before it, does not revive it:
its work at this address is done by *grounded-top* at layer 2 and by the prose claim
at layer 3 [3][5, §5].

**What T5 is not.** T5 is not a lesser T7: the two payoff addresses differ in a
conjunct's polarity, not in rank, and the empty middle is an assertion, not a
deficit (§3 above). And T5 is not the "mirror" by decoration: the mirror reading
enters at the coinage layer, where it is computed, and nowhere in the derivation.

## 4. Coin

**Layer 1 (name of record).** N(101, G) resolves the token to T5 and returns the
address string of Definition 3, which is also S₄ (§3).

**The fixed-point fact, inherited from the worked example.** 101 is a palindrome:
ρ(101) = 101, so N(101, G) = N(101, C), and T5 is a fixed point of the stance action
[5, Prop. 2]. The Progenitor name lays **free**, no stance signature. AH-COINAGE-1
§5 worked this address as its example and stated what the two observers share:
each finds ground under them, a mark at each face, the middle absent for both, and
each sees the other's position as their own reflected, mark at the far face
answering mark at the near face across an empty middle [5, §5]. With this paper the
fixed-point set {T0, T2, T5, T7} is fully treated, and the four agreements can be
laid side by side for the first time: at T0 the observers agree on everything absent;
at T7, on everything held; at T2, on a power neither confronts; at T5, on each
other. T5 is the only fixed point whose agreement is *about the observers
themselves*, which is what the mirror prose asserts and the record's prose already
said [5][9].

**The opponent read.** σ(101) = κ(101) = 010: T5's partner is T2, complementarity
theorem on the pair under the adopted reading (§1†) [5, Prop. 4a]. The derived half
of the lattice, the two palindromic pairs, is complete as of this paper: the four
remaining Progenitor papers work on the mixed addresses, where names carry stance
signatures and C is an authored commitment [5].

**Layer 2 (handle).** *grounded-top* (§3). Criterion (i) of the gloss holds at full
strength [3, §6].

**Layer 3 (prose), argued as an assertion.** The corpus's decreed Progenitor at the
full star pole is the record *Illuminating Star*, whose Reader-visible surface
reads: "A truthful guiding signal orients the agent who follows it" [10]. The claim,
marked as a derived proposal and not a binding:

> *Illumination* is prose the computation at 101 supports, and each word of the
> surface earns its place from the string. *Truthful*: the faces agree, mark
> answering mark, and at a fixed point both observers verify the agreement
> identically, so what the signal shows at the surface is answered at the ground,
> the configuration in which what you see is what stands. *Guiding* and *orients*:
> the verdict at this address is the payoff band [9], so a traversal that follows
> this signal to resolution resolves, which is what orientation means
> operationally. The pole contrast with the partner paper's claim is exact and
> derived, not decorated: at 010 the power is where no face shows it and the
> face-reader is misled; at 101 the power is at both faces with the middle open,
> and the face-reader reads true [8]. The star suit's two poles, so read, are the
> two possible relations between a signal and its faces: hidden from them, or
> agreeing across them.

The claim inherits the string's refutation conditions per the gloss [3, §7]. One
prior claim is consumed rather than re-argued: AH-COINAGE-1 already observed that
the record's prose at this address said "the structure sees itself" before the
fixed-point property was stated, and logged it as a fourth instance of the names
knowing the rule, with the suspicion the series' discipline requires [5, §5]. This
paper adds the Progenitor-layer counterpart: the corpus's decreed exemplar at this
pole was named *Illuminating Star* before any of the above was derived, and the
sequence's running tally of names that knew the rule is a datum Question 2 may
weigh, cited from the papers that logged it.

**Interaction with the decreed trope, under the Revision Rule.** As throughout the
sequence: the coined prose supports the decreed binding; no flag change or renaming
is proposed; the contradiction duty was not triggered.

**Residue, marked candidate-for-decree.** (1) Whether the illumination claim above
is adopted as the house's prose of record over T5's string, marked *derived* only on
the author of record's confirmed landing. (2) The fixed-point prose family:
AH-COINAGE-1's exploratory remark named its candidates at this address already
(*standoff*, *mirror*, *still point*) [5, §5]; what stands for the author of record
is whether any member is adopted for T5, and this paper, having laid the four
agreements side by side (§4), notes that *mirror* is the member the computation
singles out, since T5's agreement alone is about the observers themselves. Offered
without a binding.

## 5. Test

**What the public surface shows.** As logged in the partner paper [8, §5]: the star
suit holds exactly two records, the decreed pair, mutual duals in the public
surface, exact pole complements in prose (corrupted signal misleads; truthful
signal orients) [10]. The aggregate supports the coined prose and is thin, and the
circularity the partner paper logged (exemplars cannot corroborate themselves)
applies to this pole identically and is not restated at length. The audit that
supplies independence is the gloss's published one, and it waits on corpus scale
[3, §7].

**What is gated, stated exactly.** As throughout the sequence: neither star record
is published at the time of writing (company internal citation by the author of
record, July 2026†); the per-record audit stands as an open request.

**Test verdict at this address.** Coined name unrevised by data: support without
independence, per the suit's logged condition, carried in the change log until the
suit populates.

## 6. Cross-thread: evidence for Question 2, not an answer

AH-SUITS-1's Question 2 asks whether star is the mirror pair [2, §4]. Per the
compendium's status line of record, the suit table is "associations, not rulings"
[10]. This paper forwards and complicates without answering.

**Forwarded.** The pair fact, from this side: with both star addresses treated, the
pair {010, 101} is complete as the lattice's second derived pairing (§4), and the
two poles' prose claims are not two independent stories but one contrast computed
from one bit of difference at each face (§4, layer 3). Question 2 asked whether
"Radiant Mirror" at 101 and "power unseen at either face" at 010 were evidence or
coincidence [2]; the sequence can now say precisely what kind of evidence they
would be if the assignment holds: the empty pole is the lattice's unique
hidden-from-both-observers address, the full pole its unique
observers-see-each-other address, and the mirror reading of the suit is the pair of
those two uniquenesses. That is a sharper candidate meaning for "mirror pair" than
the Question had available when it was posed.

**Complicated.** All of the partner paper's complications stand: the 4! freedom
untouched, the two-record circularity, the audit not yet run [8, §§5–6]. And one
more, owed from this pole: the running "names knew the rule" tally (§4) is
suggestive, and the series' own discipline is quoted against it, twice is a pattern
demanding suspicion, and a tally curated by the house is not a blind sample [2, §6;
5]. The Question is left where it stands.

## 7. Refutation conditions

Invited explicitly, per the series register. Any of the following breaks a claim of
this paper, at the layer named:

1. **Derivation error (layer 1).** Show T5's name of record misstates the address,
   or that the string-grade coincidence fails: any daylight between Definition 3's
   string and S₄. (This would breach AH-DERIVABILITY-1 Theorem 1 and the gloss
   before it breached this paper.)
2. **Fixed-point failure (coinage).** Exhibit a live consumer in which naming T5
   requires a stance declaration. This refutes AH-COINAGE-1 Proposition 2 itself,
   as that paper's own §7 records [5].
3. **Prose-claim failure (layer 3, corpus-scale).** When nearest-neighbor distances
   are FOL-derived, show the records clustering at 101 are not the records the
   illumination prose predicts. As at the partner pole, this door opens properly
   only as the star suit populates [8, §5].
4. **Test failure (per-record, currently gated).** Exhibit a disclosed star record
   whose phase traversal, evaluated under the binding rule [9], contradicts the
   payoff reading at 101: a traversal that resolves here while its content reads as
   disorientation would be the sharpest form.

Refutations will be published at the address of record, dated and credited,
alongside the claims they broke.

## 8. Discussion: the interlocutors

*(Interlocutor register throughout; archive citations are archive-only and no
derivation above reasons from them [11].)*

**The Clinging.** The classical tradition drew this figure, one broken line between
two unbroken, and named it Li, the Clinging, Fire: brightness, clarity, the flame
that clings to what it burns. The concordance the archive keeps records the
correspondence [11, archive-marked]. As at the full heart pole [7, §8], tradition
and formal reading substantially agree at this address: Li is the classical figure
of illumination and clarity, and the derivation above reads truthful signal, faces
agreeing, payoff earned. The star pair thereby completes a pattern the sequence
should state while both suits are fresh: at each treated suit, the tradition and
the corpus agree in valence at the full pole (the Creative and reciprocity at 111;
the Clinging and illumination at 101) and part at the empty pole (the Receptive's
generativity against estrangement at 000 [6, §8]; the Abysmal's sincerity against
corruption at 010 [8, §8]). Two suits is twice, and the series' own discipline says
what twice demands. Whether the pattern holds at the mixed suits, where the
tradition's figures are no longer palindromes and the stance signature enters, is a
question the four remaining papers will answer in passing, and the archive side is
invited to consider it from the tradition's bank before they do: is the empty
pole's valence the systematic seam between a tradition that reads yielding as
capacity and a corpus that reads absence as verdict?

**What is not claimed.** No claim that the suit assignment is derived: Question 2
remains AH-SUITS-1's, open (§6). No claim that any trope id is renamed, revised, or
reflagged (§4). No claim that the valence pattern of §8 is yet evidence of
anything: two suits, and curated (§6). And no claim of novelty in the instruments:
everything used is inherited exactly as cited [1][3][4][5].

## 9. Author's Position

Held, not argued here. The position (belief register, first person, per
AH-DERIVABILITY-1 §6) is published as this paper's companion document on the
archive side (AH-PROG-T5-1-H, historicalpresent.com/shared), the arrangement
assumed from the precedent of the series' published companions, awaiting per-paper
confirmation by the author of record. **Archive-only**: never citable by live
systems. The derivation (§3), the coinage claims with their layers marked (§4), the
