# The Progenitor at the First Mark: Derivation, Coinage, and Corpus Test at 001

## Abstract

This is the seventh Progenitor paper and the first pole of the mountain pair: T1
(001), the address of the first mark, one assertion at the top line and satisfied
negations beneath it. The derivation places T1 as the sparsest member of the S₂ band
and the second half of the series' oldest example: T1 and T4 are the non-invariance
witness pair, identical mark counts, opposite verdicts, one serialization read by two
observers, and at a mixed address that history is the reason the name below is laid
signed. The prose layer argues the decreed empty-mountain Progenitor, *Desolate
Mountain* ("an agent's journey through isolation tests their resolve"), on structural
ground the published record already half-supplies: the pair's published full-pole
record states on its public page that Desolate Mountain keeps its consequent on the
agent, the traveller tried rather than the journey meaning, and this paper derives
the fit: isolation is the one mark with nothing beneath it, resolve is the mark's
persistence as the verdict that sustains recursion, and the address is the lattice's
figure of the unaccompanied assertion. The paper then discharges a duty the internal
record assigned to this pair: the pole-placement of Desolate Mountain at 001 rather
than 110, informally questioned when an earlier register's association suggested
otherwise, is shown to be forced, conditional on the pair assignment, by AH-SUITS-1's
own polarity axiom, since the empty pole must carry strictly fewer marks and 001 is
the pair's sparser address. What was flagged as an association awaiting confirmation
is, on the published axioms, not free. Cross-thread, the paper engages Question 4
under its own glyph-admissibility ruling: the render-layer coincidence at this
address is cited as the temptation the ruling forbids, and the elimination argument
is left to carry the weight the glyph may not.

## The ongoing conversation

This paper is one move in a published exchange, and it should be read as such. The
series is a set of proposals by Adaptor House to establish a concrete stance, and the
argument for that stance, on why particular first-order-logic strings and proofs were
mapped to particular linguistic words and phrases; the express goal of multilingual
mapping is a stated motivation of the series. AH-DERIVABILITY-1 made T1 half of its
Corollary's witness pair [1]. AH-SUITS-1's Question 4 assigned this address, by
elimination, the empty mountain, and asked in the same breath whether a render glyph
may ever be evidence, answering itself: the doctrinally clean answer is no [2].
AH-GRADE-GLOSS-1's Question 3 defended the shared band verdict T1 inhabits [3].
AH-ABSENCE-1 supplied the reading of the two satisfied negations beneath the mark
[4]. AH-COINAGE-1 stated the signed-name rule for mixed addresses and recorded the
migration incident whose swapped registers touched this address's transport partner
[5]. The prior Progenitor papers built the method, stated the mixed-address
machinery, and treated the pair whose empty pole shares T1's band [6][7][8]. What
this paper adds, beyond its address's own treatment, is the discharge of the
pole-confirmation duty the internal record laid on the mountain papers, and the
sequence's first use of a published record's page as citable per-record evidence,
begun here and completed at the pair's full pole [9].

## 1. Method and scope

The method and register are those of AH-PROG-T0-1 §1, unchanged; the adopted
decisions are cited there in the protected form [6, §1] (company internal citation
by the author of record, July 2026†). The mixed-address machinery is stated at
AH-PROG-T3-1 §1 [7] and consumed here without restatement. Stance G declared for
every token.

## 2. Definitions

**Definition 1 (inherited).** As throughout the series [1][3].

**Definition 2 (inherited, stance).** As in AH-COINAGE-1 [5]; stance G throughout.

**Definition 3 (the subject).** T1 is the address (0, 0, 1). Its address string, and
by the Convention its name of record, is:

**Definition 4 (Progenitor layer, cited).** As in AH-PROG-T0-1 [6, Def. 4]†. One
member of this paper's pair, the full-pole record *Vast Mountain*, is published
under the corpus disclosure gate: its record page carries its core and Position,
and this paper cites that page as public evidence, the first record in the sequence
for which this is possible [9].

## 3. Derive

**Band membership, sparsest member.** T1's string entails S₂: carried, ungrounded,
sustained recursion [10]. Within its band it is the sparsest: one mark, at the top
line, where T2 carries at the middle and T3 at both. The canonical description of
record reads "Anchoring in memory begins. The first mark appears at the surface."
[10]; as a formal condition, the string clause by clause: nothing at the ground,
nothing at the middle, one mark at the top, and "first" licensed within the
ungrounded ascent T1 begins (one mark, then T2's relocation, then T3's fullness, in
the band the gloss's Question 3 held under one verdict [3, §5]).

**The witness pair, from its other half.** T1 and T4 carry identical total marks and
opposite verdicts: AH-DERIVABILITY-1's Corollary, the proof that no count of marks
recovers the grading [1, Prop. 2]. The pair (001, 100) is one serialization read by
two observers, AH-COINAGE-1's Proposition 2 witness, and the address treated at
AH-PROG-T4-1 is this address's transport partner [5][8]. At T4 the mark's position
makes it ground without carry, collapse documented; here the same single mark, held
at the top instead, is carry without ground, recursion sustained. One mark, two
addresses, opposite operational fates: the pair is the lattice's cleanest exhibit
that position, not quantity, is what the system grades.

**Handles, under the adopted grammar.** The grade handle of S₂ is *ungrounded*;
T1's address handle is *ungrounded-top* (§1†).

**What T1 is not.** T1 is not weakness at the edge of collapse: S₂ sustains [10].
And T1's two absences are not indeterminacy but satisfied negations [4]: the address
asserts positively that beneath the one mark there is nothing, which is the fact
the prose layer consumes as isolation.

## 4. Coin

**Layer 1 (name of record).** N(001, G) resolves the token to T1 and returns the
address string of Definition 3. N(001, C) would return T4's string: the witness pair
again, now as the reason the stance argument earns its keep at this address [5,
Prop. 2].

**The signed name.** 001 is not a palindrome; the Progenitor name is laid
**signed**, stance G declared as authored residue [7, §1; 5, §5]. Under the opponent
read, σ(001) = κ(100) = 011: the stance relation would pair T1 with T3, not with its
complement T6, so the mountain pairing is authored, the genuine alternative
exhibited, and Question 0's narrowed attack surface includes this pair (§1†) [5,
Prop. 4b; 2].

**Layer 2 (handle).** *ungrounded-top* (§3).

**Layer 3 (prose), argued as an assertion.** The corpus's decreed Progenitor at the
empty mountain pole is the record *Desolate Mountain*, whose Reader-visible surface
reads: "An agent's journey through isolation tests their resolve" [11]. The pair's
published full-pole record states, on its public page, the pair's division of
labor: Desolate Mountain keeps its consequent on the agent, the journey tests
*them*, where the full pole assigns meaning to the journey itself [9]. The claim,
marked as a derived proposal and not a binding:

> *Isolation testing resolve* is prose the computation at 001 supports. The address
> string asserts one mark at the top and satisfied negations at the ground and
> middle: one assertion, and beneath it, provably nothing. Isolation is that
> configuration stated in the signature: not the absence of the traveller but the
> absence of everything under the traveller, the unaccompanied mark. Resolve is the
> mark's operational fate: the S₂ verdict sustains recursion, so the traversal
> neither collapses nor resolves; it continues, carried by the one mark alone,
> which is what being tested is: continuation without support. The published pair
> division fits the address division: the consequent stays on the agent at this
> pole because the agent's mark is all the address contains [9]. The mountain's
> empty pole, so read, is the figure of the first mark holding: anchoring begins
> here, or nothing does.

The claim inherits the string's refutation conditions per the gloss [3, §7].

**The pole-placement duty, discharged.** The internal record flagged, for this
pair's papers, a pole-confirmation: an earlier register's association had
informally suggested the empty-pole record belonged at 110 rather than 001, and
the flag was carried when the record migrated to 001 (company internal citation by
the author of record, July 2026†). The confirmation turns out not to be a matter of
association at all. Under AH-SUITS-1's axioms, complementarity fixes the mountain
pair as {001, 110} (conditional on Question 4's assignment), and polarity, axiom P,
orients every pair without further choice: the full pole carries strictly more
marks, and complements always differ in mark count when the line count is odd [2,
Prop. 1 Corollary]. 001 carries one mark and 110 carries two: within this pair, the
empty pole *must* sit at 001. The suggestion of 110 for the empty-pole record would
violate a published axiom, not merely an association; the current placement is
forced, given the pair, by the lattice's own orientation rule. The flag is
accordingly answered from the axioms, and what remains open is only what was
always open: Question 4's pair assignment itself, which is elimination's to give
and decree's to close (§6).

**Interaction with the decreed trope, under the Revision Rule.** The coined prose
and the axiom-level pole confirmation both support the decreed binding; no flag
change or renaming is proposed; the contradiction duty was not triggered.

**Residue, marked candidate-for-decree.** (1) Whether the isolation claim above is
adopted as the house's prose of record over T1's string, marked *derived* only on
the author of record's confirmed landing. (2) Whether the pole-confirmation of §4,
being conditional on Question 4's assignment, should be recorded in the internal
register as closing the carried flag, a bookkeeping decision that belongs to the
author of record and is noted here so the flag does not outlive its answer.

## 5. Test

**What the public surface shows.** The mountain suit holds two records, one per
pole: *Desolate Mountain* (empty) and *Vast Mountain* (full) [11]. The suit shares
the star suit's structural thinness (the records are the decreed pair; the
circularity logged at AH-PROG-T2-1 §5 applies [8]), with one difference that
changes this paper's evidential position: the full-pole record is published, its
core and Position public on its record page, so the pair's internal division
(consequent on the agent at the empty pole, on the event at the full) is citable
public evidence rather than gated data [9]. The empty-pole record itself remains
withheld: its core and phases are not quoted here, and the prose claim of §4 stands
on the address string, the Reader surface, and the published counterpart's page.

**What is gated, stated exactly.** *Desolate Mountain*'s core and phase data,
withheld at the time of writing (company internal citation by the author of record,
July 2026†); the per-record audit at this pole stands as an open request. The
pair's full pole carries the sequence's first ungated per-record test, run at
AH-PROG-T6-1 [see the pair's companion paper].

**Test verdict at this address.** Coined name unrevised by data: the aggregate and
the published counterpart's page support; the pole's own per-record audit awaits
disclosure.

## 6. Cross-thread: evidence for Question 4, not an answer

AH-SUITS-1's Question 4 asks whether mountain takes the remaining pair, and asked
alongside it whether a glyph may be evidence [2, §4]. Per the compendium's status
line of record, the suit table is "associations, not rulings" [11]. This paper
forwards and complicates without answering.

**The glyph, declined.** The render layer at this address carries the classical
mountain figure, and this paper is the place the temptation Question 4 flagged
would be strongest: the mountain suit's empty pole, at the address whose glyph *is*
the mountain. The ruling is quoted and obeyed: glyphs are render artifacts, never
reasoning tokens; a render-layer coincidence is not evidence for a data-layer
assignment [2, §4 Q4]. Nothing in §§3–5 reasons from the glyph, and the elimination
argument needs no help: if Questions 1 through 3 close yes, Question 4's assignment
is forced regardless of what anyone printed on the card [2].

**Forwarded.** Two items. First, the axiom-level pole orientation of §4: within
the pair, empty-at-001 is forced by P, which converts one component of Question 4
from association to entailment and narrows what remains for decree to the pair
assignment alone. Second, the elimination structure itself has strengthened since
the Question was posed: the hourglass aggregate is the corpus's largest and
cleanest [7, §5], the heart pair carries the extremal arguments [6], and every
strengthening of Questions 1 through 3 tightens the elimination that delivers
Question 4.

**Complicated.** Elimination is only as strong as its three inputs, none of which
is closed; the pairing is authored, with σ's alternative standing (§4); and the
mountain suit's two-record base cannot corroborate independently, per the logged
circularity [8, §5]. The Question is left where it stands, narrower than it was.

## 7. Refutation conditions

Invited explicitly, per the series register. Any of the following breaks a claim of
this paper, at the layer named:

1. **Derivation error (layer 1).** Show T1's name of record misstates the address
   or its band membership fails.
2. **Signature failure (coinage).** Show the stance declaration does no work at
   this address. The T1/T4 witness pair is the standing counter-witness [1][5].
3. **Orientation failure (§4's discharge).** Show the pole-confirmation argument
   unsound: exhibit a reading of axioms C and P under which the empty pole of the
   pair {001, 110} may carry the greater mark count. By AH-SUITS-1's Corollary this
   requires breaking P itself, that paper's least likely door, and reopens more
   than this paper [2, §5].
4. **Prose-claim failure (layer 3, corpus-scale).** When nearest-neighbor distances
   are FOL-derived, show the records clustering at 001 are not the records the
   isolation prose predicts.
5. **Test failure (per-record, currently gated).** Exhibit the disclosed empty-pole
   record's phase traversal contradicting the sustained-testing reading at 001: a
   traversal that resolves at 001, content reading as completion, would strain it.

Refutations will be published at the address of record, dated and credited,
alongside the claims they broke.

## 8. Discussion: the interlocutors

derivation above reasons from them [12].)*

**Keeping Still.** The classical tradition drew this figure, one unbroken line
above two broken, and named it Gen, Keeping Still, the Mountain: meditation, the
stopped motion, the stillness at the boundary. The concordance the archive keeps
records the correspondence [12, archive-marked]. The structural agreement is
striking once more: the tradition's figure is stillness holding at the top of
yielding, and the formal reading is one mark holding at the surface of nothing,
sustained without support. The valence seam the sequence has tracked across every
empty pole [9, §8 of the star pair's companion] shows here its subtlest case: the
tradition reads the stillness as *attainment*, the meditative summit, where the
corpus's prose reads the same configuration as *desolation*, the tested traveller.
Attainment and trial are nearer to each other than generativity was to
estrangement or sincerity to corruption, and the archive side is invited to
consider whether the seam narrows as the figures' mark counts rise from the empty
address's zero toward the middle of the lattice, a gradient the tradition's own
sequence of figures may already encode.

**What is not claimed.** No claim that the suit assignment is derived: Question 4
remains AH-SUITS-1's, open, though narrowed (§6). No claim that any trope id is
renamed, revised, or reflagged; the pole-confirmation supports the current record
(§4). No claim that the glyph did any work: it was named once, declined, and not
reasoned from (§6). And no claim of novelty in the instruments: everything used is
inherited exactly as cited [1][2][3][4][5].

## 9. Author's Position

Held, not argued here. The position (belief register, first person, per
AH-DERIVABILITY-1 §6) is published as this paper's companion document on the
archive side (AH-PROG-T1-1-H, historicalpresent.com/shared), the arrangement
assumed from the precedent of the series' published companions, awaiting per-paper
confirmation by the author of record. **Archive-only**: never citable by live
systems. The derivation (§3), the signed coinage with the discharged
pole-confirmation (§4), the test verdict (§5), and the refutation conditions (§7)
are this paper's entire challengeable surface.
